The Screening of Mental Health of Student Nurses on a Mass Scale by Using CMI


Abstract
As a preliminary screening of mental disturbance vulnerability on a mass scale that aims to be
applied to female college population including student nurses. The authors applied CMI to 200 female college students consisting of 100 student nurses as experimental group and 100 non-medical college students as control group.
On the basis of distsibution of total affirmative responses of the total subjects was chosen for further study which consisted of psychiatric evalution through subsequent stastical analysis of data in detecting mental disturbances in this selected young lady population. The conclusions are as follows:
1. The mean number of CMI score for the 100 student nurses was 28.72. There are significant difference was observed between the mean number of response for other control group¢¥s data.
2. It was observed in the 9 psychiatrically evaluated student nurses that in comparison with the individual responses to items of C.I.J. and M-R of the control group.
